The Houselisting and Housing Census phase of Census 2027 includes questions about your house and living conditions. Understand every question below.
Question Categories
- Building Details: Wall, roof, and floor materials.
- Household Info: Occupancy and number of residents.

| 1 | Predominant material of the floor | Select the material used for the majority of the floor area (e.g. Mud, Wood, Stone, Cement, Mosaic/Floor tiles). |
| 2 | Predominant material of the wall | Select the material used for the majority of the walls (e.g. Burnt brick, Concrete, Stone, Mud). |
| 3 | Predominant material of the roof | Select the material used for the majority of the roof (e.g. Concrete/RCC, Tiles, Metal sheets). |
| 4 | Ownership status of the house | State if you own the house ('Owned') or live on rent ('Rented'). |
| 5 | Number of dwelling rooms | Count all rooms used for living, sleeping, sitting, or dining. Do not count bathrooms, toilets, or standalone kitchens. |
| 6 | Number of married couples | Total number of married couples living in this household. |
